Rohini Nanayakkara - Chairperson
Mrs. Rohini Nanayakkara obtained her BA 2nd Class Honours Degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and a Diploma in French from the Chamber of Commerce, Brussels. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Management and the Institute of Bankers, Sri Lanka. She was the first woman executive to join a Commercial Bank in Sri Lanka and has the rare distinction of being the first woman General Manager/CEO of the Bank of Ceylon and in the Asian Region. She has also worked with banks in London and in Brussels with training in specialised areas. After her retirement from the Bank of Ceylon, she was appointed General Manager - CEO of the Private Sector Infrastructure Development Co Ltd, a company under the Ministry of Finance with World Bank assistance. Thereafter she was Director - General Manager/CEO at Seylan Bank, a leading commercial Bank in the private sector. She has served as Chairman/Director of several financial institutions such as National Development Bank, DFCC Bank and the Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka. She is presently Chairperson of NDB Venture Investment (Pvt) Ltd, Ayojana Fund Management (Pvt) Ltd, and the Taprobane Investment Group of Companies, and a Director of Trans Asia Hotels Ltd, Mireka Capital Lanka Ltd. and Overseas Realty Ltd. In January 2005, Her Excellency the President of Sri Lanka appointed her as a member of the Task Force to Rebuild the Nation (TAFREN). In August, 2004,
Mrs. Nanayayakkara assumed duties as Chairman of LOLC and it’s subsidiaries.

Ishara Nanayakkara - Deputy Chairman
Mr. Nanayakkara is the Managing Director of Ishara Traders, the pioneering importer of reconditioned motor vehicles in Sri Lanka. Having obtained a diploma in Business Accounting from Australia, he worked in Japan for two years with the largest exporter of reconditioned motor vehicles - Yamagin Corporation, Tokyo. Mr. Nanayakkara is a Director of Ishara Plantations (Pvt) Ltd, and Ishara Property Development (Pvt) Ltd. Mr. I C Nanayakkara also serves as a director on the boards of all LOLC subsidiaries.
